Before and after

how it was

ForHome sells water systems for the home — softeners, purifiers, filters, spare parts — through an online shop that has run on the same platform since 2008. Over time it had picked up products that have nothing to do with water, and behind it sat eighteen years of indexed addresses: changing platform risked throwing exactly those away.

what we built

A WooCommerce shop written from scratch — its own theme and plugin, no page builder, shop logic kept separate from the look — with a catalogue focused on water: 1,285 products, each with a code and an image, all at their previous address.

How it is built

  1. 01

    Not one address lost

The 1,285 products and 72 of the 74 categories keep the same addresses as on the previous platform, letter for letter, historical quirks included. Eighteen years of rankings do not start again from zero.

  2. 02

    Filters that speak the trade

Resin capacity, valve, connection, brand: fifteen filterable attributes with counts, and an instant search that also finds by product code.

  3. 03

    Find the right system

Three questions — goal, where it will be installed, details — lead to the right department, instead of leaving non-specialists in front of twelve hundred products.

  4. 04

    Online withdrawal

Withdrawal is done on the site in two steps, with an email receipt showing the text, date and time, and thirty days instead of the fourteen required by law.
